To create a new project containing only the selected comp(s) and the files relating to that comp (and leave your present project untouched) follow these steps:

  1. In the Project Panel Select only the comp(s) you want to keep.
  2. From the menu choose File > Collect File.
  3. Select the “For Selected Comps” option.
  4. Select the “Reduce Project” option.
  5. Click the “Collect” button.
  6. Give the folder a name.
