Okay everyone it’s confession time, answer the following two questions:
1. Which effect included with Adobe After Effects do you use the most?
2. Which 3rd party plug-in for Adobe After Effects do you use most?
For me it is a close contest between Fast Blur and Curves… with Curves probably the winner. I had to think hard about No.2and there are times when I use a specific plug-in a lot then not again for some time. I use Zaxwerks, Knoll Light Factory and many of the Trapcode effects regularly. But generally I’d have to say Trapcode Shine, I know that some of you are gasping right now, but the truth is it’s one effect I find a lot of uses for, from volumetric lighting to enhancing glows and color grading. What about you?

Blur! (Fast blur mostly).
3rd Party, i often use 3d stroke on projects, particular too, and some of the sapphire plugins.

Okay so I’m the only person on the planet (besides fReezEr that uses Shine… hmmm. It’s also interesting how many of us use the same effects frequently, especially the utility effects such as Levels, Curves and Blurs.

1. Curves, and a couple of different blurs.
3rd Party, I use Trapcode Shine a lot I have to admit… I do a lot of titling, so it helps with the glows and stuff like you said.

Funny, I just used shine 5 minutes ago
But i gotta say I use the whole Trapcode Bundle a lot, I bought it 2 months ago, and I relly love this tools, they are so flexible!
Oh, and drop shadow all the time when working with text, also ramp

Huuuuuu I had to use 3d stroke and retro circles a lot and a lot…so many people advertised me to be carefuly with trapcodes in the next projects..and I will consider that tip.
