I am 98% certain that C4D 11.5 does *not* include Grand Central and/or OpenCL optimization of any kind. So yes, I agree with Jason...it's tough to pay for a pricey upgrade when major new speed enhancements may be less than a year away.

That said....I'm still likely to buy the upgrade. ;-)

Hi Jason, I don't have any definitive answers for you on this. I will say that in general Maxon is the first to take advantage of Apple updates and would be surprised if R11.5 wasn't optimised for Snow Leopard. All the best, John.

Everywhere C4D R11.5 Says its compatible with snow leopard.
It says it can address up to 64g of ram, that's awesome.

However I wonder if it's render engine is written to take advantage of "Grand Central", and what about open CL?

I'm just skeptical because it's coming out so soon after Snow Leopard, yes I know they get developers access but look at what happened with the original leopard and developers. I almost wished Maxon would have waited to let snow leopard mature a bit, before the release. But I am impressed at how quickly they updated. I just wonder if they take advantage of all the new snow leopard tech's or just 64bit?
