1,5 hour later, I’m still struggling with it, tweaking all the parameters of all the time effects, trying on different C4D movies (all with an alpha), with the motion blur open… ;-((
On top of that I don’t manage to make letters (or connected splines) explode with the Mograph Fracture Object… The random effector works well, but the letters/splines are unwilling to explode… ;-((

Maybe you don’t have time for long technical comments, but hopefully that’ll give you the idea of a 5 mn tutorial ?

Hi John !

Could you give some details about how to use the Time Warp effect to give the motion blur ? Here, or maybe in a 5mn tip ?

I’m currently trying to apply it to a movie rendered in C4D (with an alpha). Actually, it’s the little animation I made for the Unplugged challenge.
2 days ago I failed to apply it quickly and I finally had to leave it unchanged. Now that I take more time to make it work, it doesn’t work either…
Well, I’ve to say I can’t find out the translation of TimeWarp in french ! Though, I’m trying all the time effects one by one, tweaking all the options etc, but none of them is working (yet !)

I hope you’ll come back to this (potentially) very useful tip !

Hi there, I have no issue buying fonts. When one is under pressure to complete a project quickly often it’s not possible to spend as much time searching for fonts. I saw this font in the trailer, did a search and the first page I found had a link to this “copy”. It did the job. “next time” I’ll know it’s not an original. Regards, John.

Hi John, very good tutorial. Not to be too much of a font snob here, but just note that the “free” font you got is a copy of Antique Olive Nord Italic.. you can tell by the distribution of points on the uppercase S, for example– they’re evenly-spaced and mechanical. License the real deal next time!

Great tutorial John! The circle alpha tip blew my miiiiiind. That probably would have saved me dozens of hours of work over the years if I had known that before. I really like seeing these After Effects and Cinema 4D tutorials that quickly go over everything and show the workflow.
