Hey guys,
I just bought your set but if i have technical questions about the tutorials, is there a thread to ask them?
February 14, 2010 at 3:00 pm |
Hi Jan, there is a thread in the Forum. Best wishes, John.

John
I’m sure the training is awesome. (Hoping to pick up the 6&7 bundle soon)
Other than the “out now” this looks like it could have been done in Pro-Animator. By doing the sky in AE there is no interaction on the 3d letters. Any reason why you didn’t do the entire composite in C4d?
How did you do the smoke in the foreground? Is the explosion Action Essentials?
P.S. What is up with the ProAnimator update? Its been a while

Hi Lou, all text was done in C4D (ProAnimator doesn’t have reflections). The bouncing Out Now was done easily using MoGraph 2.0 as well. It’s far more flexible to composite in AE then directly in C4D. Foreground smoke and explosions are Action Essentials 2. As far as the ProAnimator update… that’s a question for Zaxwerks

Looks like you used ReelSmart Motion Blur on the “out now”?! But without motion vectors, right?
Saw some artifacts.
Nice Promo. Like the smoke in the background.

Hey Grischa, yes I gave it a go and it worked well mostly but had a few issues with the fast moving “out now” text.

Please, please, please john do some basic hierarchy tutorial for cinema 4d . i see lot of tutorial on net but none of them explain how hierarchy work in cinema 4d . I see tutors do most of work in object panel to get desire result . They called this parenting or something else .They come and just start arranging elements in object panel but no body tell why they are doing this in object panel and how parenting works in object panel . I know well about parenting in after effects

Not sure if’s just me, but was anyone missing the “Light Dome” file that was included in the download?
March 17, 2010 at 4:45 pm |

unless i’m looking properly….
March 17, 2010 at 4:48 pm |
The light dome is inside the project files. Try looking in the Flocking file. Best wishes, John.
